2025 is here—a New Year with new energy and an opportunity for everyone to complete old business. Yes, 2025, numerically, equates to the number "9," traditionally considered a number meaning completion.
Numbers are like all things — they hold energy and frequency. When I think of the meaning behind numbers, I equate it to "The Hero's Journey." The number "1" is an energy of newness, so in the journey, it is the beginning. As the hero goes through the ups and downs of his/her personal quest (2-8), there is an arc where things become increasingly challenging, then reconcile, and eventually end at "9" for completion. So, here we are in 2025 at "9," and I, for one, am grateful. Yet, there's a catch...
A Broken Cycle for 2025's Year of Completion
I did the math, looking back. If you add the numbers of the years together since the '80s (actually since the early 1900s), we have had a consistent run through "The Hero's Journey" from 1-9 until 2009. This means that we worked through the challenges of our lives in an orderly manner until then. But 2000 was the last year we had a number "2" numerical year. In numerology (the study of the energy behind numbers), the number 2 represents balance, teamwork, harmony, and, also, duality. In 2009, instead of having a number "2" year like our normal cycle, we had a number "11" year. 11, as a "Master" number, doesn't break down to "2" and retains its frequency. 11 is believed to be a vibration of higher spiritual realms, awakenings, and, especially when combined twice in 11:11, as a doorway of moving out of duality and into Oneness. So, in 2010, we began a new cycle, but in a broken way, from 3-9 which has repeated since.
Completing this Hero's Journey Cycle
Once I recognized this broken energy pattern, I went back and did more math — until 2045 — finding that the "11" instead of "2" pattern consistently continues, At this point, I'd had enough math, broke down, and used AI. Guess when the next full cycle will be? 2099. In 2099, we finally get our "2" year, and this cycle that began in 1999 at "1" of The Hero's Journey finally concludes and finishes in 2106, starting 2107 as the next cycle. Guys, that is a whole lot of time being slammed with spiritual awakenings and higher-light energy without balance and harmony — over 100 years.
Wanna know the cool part?
It's 108 years
And any good yogi/yogini knows that 108 is a special number, too. 108 represents the wholeness of existence, divine connections, and spiritual completion.
Divine Design
Before thinking about this negatively, consider how divinely perfect it is that you are here on the planet now. Your soul—your spirit—your Highest Self, decided to be alive during this cycle of extreme upheaval on earth and to witness the breaking down of duality and the creation of Oneness on the planet for the first time in our known history. Sure, things aren't perfect, and they can sometimes feel overwhelming and so broken that despair rears its head. But, we must remember, that this is all happening by Divine Design — and we are a part of this construction.
It takes a lot to birth a New Reality/New World. Did we expect Oneness to align overnight? I have to admit, I kind of thought it would happen a lot sooner than 108 years. But in the grand scheme of things, it isn't that long. And, since, philosophically, at least, time is not real and more of a perception, simply shift your mindset around it. Remember the first time your yoga teacher told you that you would be chanting a mantra 108 times? It sounded like forever, didn't it? Yet, it was over before you knew it, and you managed to chant many more mantras 108 times since.
Final Thoughts for 2025
So, as we ring in 2025 and then the year of the Snake arrives, know that we still need to close some doors and shed some skin because that is what we are here to do. Each time we move through a part of this journey, we align ourselves closer and closer to our penultimate destination. I find comfort in understanding the energy behind the times that we live in. It helps me to see more clearly my role here and why it is so important that more of us step up to assist humanity during this discordant time.
