300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training

Where 200 Hour Yoga Teachers Come to Experienced In-Depth Mentoring & Enhance Knowledge

Hello 200 hour teachers!

That first 200 hours was probably a lot of work, but deeply rewarding and highly transformational. Hopefully you had a wonderful experience and that is why you are here looking to dive deeper into your the yoga practice. Our advanced yoga teacher training is broken into two modules that can be taken in any order, but must be completed within two years of each other. The culmination of these 300 hours combined with your original 200 hours will qualify you to receive a 500-hour teacher acknowledgment from the national Yoga Alliance, provided you complete all the requirements. Here is the breakdown:

Module 1 - Creating Balance with Eastern Methods (100 hours)

This has lovingly been called "The Chakra Module" by many former trainees. The hindu chakra system is the basis of the bulk of this program, where we dive into the many facets of this energy system. We learn the properties of each chakra, how and when they develop, how energy can become stuck or blocked in each one, how these blocks can create actual physical and emotional issues, and what yoga tools we can use to create balance and harmony within the system. This module includes an intense look into your own chakra system first, for how can we help others if we don't learn first how to help ourselves? Other components of this module include the expanded 12-chakra model and chinese meridian system, which includes a short introduction to Yin Yoga. At the end of this module you should be able to "see" chakra issues in your students and create individualized programs for them to assist in creating the balance that they need.

Students who are not yoga teachers are invited to audit this course for most of the content.

Module 2 - The 5 Types of Yoga (200 hours)

In this module we seek to broaden our understanding of yoga and our skills in teaching this ancient practice. There are deep discussions and projects on Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Raja Yoga as well as widening the knowledge-base of Hatha Yoga, the primary style of yoga that is practiced here in the West. Advanced anatomy and exploration of different styles of Hatha Yoga, as well as teaching mentoring on your teaching accompany this module.

To attend this module you must have graduated from an approved 200 hour program (those who graduated from One Yoga Center's 200 hour program are automatically accepted) and are willing to commit to the yogini/yogi lifestyle through practicing the yamas and niyamas as well as the yoga ethics of our school - to the best of your ability. Serious inquiries only.
