One Yoga & Wellness Center - Yoga Level Classes

Yoga is a process of personal reintegration that connects the body, mind and spirit through meditation, asanas (the body), and pranayama (breath). Yoga helps promote relaxation, relieves stress, increases flexibility and strength, and balances emotional & physical difficulties.

Our Yoga Class Styles

Gentle Yoga focuses on very gentle stretching and breathing exercises and may include guided meditation & relaxation techniques. These classes are perfect for beginner students, those with physical limitations or anyone just needing to relax and unwind.

Hatha Yoga consists of a set of physical exercises, designed to bring balance to the body-mind. Poses are held longer allowing the student to learn to surrender in each pose. With attention to the breathing techniques, and introduction to the mudras & mantras, these classes are for all levels.

 Vinyasa  means “breath-synchronized movement.” These flow classes connect the poses in a smooth way that they run together & become like a dance.

Levels of Vinyasa:
Level I -
for the brand new beginner as well as students who enjoy a slower-paced more meditative flow. All students are welcome regardless of age, fitness level, strength or degree of flexibility. Alignment principles and proper breathing techniques are stressed. It is recommended that brand new students take 10-12 classes at Level I (or Hatha yoga classes) before moving to Level II.

Level I/II - is for the ongoing beginner on up, these classes still incorporate much verbal instruction while introducing & offering more variations to the basic poses. It is a great review for intermediate to advanced students or those who may have been away from yoga for a while. While faster paced than Level I, true beginners are also welcome to these multi-faceted classes.

Level II - These moderately paced classes are recommended for those with basic knowledge of yoga asanas and pranayamas. These classes are both invigorating and relaxing. You will find some more difficult sequences and asanas with more challenging variations (such as arm balances, backbends and inversions). You will go deeper into your practice by exploring core breathing techniques and utilizing the bandhas while practicing with the room warmer than normal.

Level III - Vinyasa are our  most challenging classes for the experienced practitioner (Intermediate to Advanced). A faster-paced, high-energy flow that incorporates advanced variations of asanas, core strengthening, and more a challenging sequencing - all in a heated room. Since these classes have a little less instruction, students should intuitively know their own limits and be prepared for an intense class. This class will challenge you to come to your edge.

 *Athletes & those with physical training should inquire as higher level Vinyasa classes may be appropriate for you.

Meditation classes are offered to introduce students to the various styles of meditation. This class is relaxing and suggested to help those with stress-related issues so that they may form a home practice.

Pre-Natal Yoga classes are designed for mom-to-be. You can join at any time during your pregnancy and come up to delivery! We focus on poses & breathing to help with your labor and delivery.

Mom & Baby classes are for newborn to pre-crawling infants and mom (or dads).

Kids Yoga is offered at different age levels.
