Vinyasa Yoga is known as a flowing style of yoga that links the breath to movement. This breath synchronized style of Yoga has gained much popularity in the West because of its physically challenging sequences and cardiovascular emphasis. But there is so much more to this style of Yoga and even the most seasoned Hatha Yoga teacher might find it challenging to teach. This 200 hour program is designed to teach you the history and philosophy as well as the basic functional elements of teaching and sequencing Vinyasa Yoga effectively. By the end of this six-month long training your deep understanding for the flow practice will provide you with the knowledge and skills to teach this style of yoga authentically and skillfully.
During the six month training program you will learn:
- The basic principles of Vinyasa Flow
- Asanas of Sun and Moon Salutation (the base for any flow class)
- Sequencing a flow class by adding balancing, backbends, forward bends, twists, core, hip openers and inversion asanas into a class
- The Energy Body: Chakras, Prana, Nadis and basic energy alignment
- The Physical Body: Skeleton and Muscles
- Pranayam, Bhandas and Drishti
- How/when to use props in flow practice
- Using music to enhance the practice
- The 8-Limbs of Yoga
- Business aspects of Yoga
