Nicole discovered yoga shortly after graduating from Bard College with
a degree in Drama and Dance in 1992. Stumbling into her first yoga class
while living in New York City, imagine this hyper young woman's surprise
when she fell asleep during deep relaxation. From that point on, Nicole
would drop in to an occasional class here and there.
Flash forward to 2004, after the birth of her second child, Nicole got very
serious about fitness. Always a very physically active person, she became a
Personal Trainer in 2008. Always looking for new ways to make her client's
workout regimen more interesting, Nicole decided to check out some yoga
classes again to get some ideas. Instead of getting ideas, she got hooked.
Taking Bikram style Hot Yoga and Vinyasa classes changed Nicole's
life. Once a highly anxious person, through yoga she watched it virtually
disappear as she noticed her fitness level reaching heights she could never
achieve at the gym. After frequenting One Yoga and becoming addicted to
Vinyasa classes, Nicole decided to enroll in a 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher
Training program at the center. It changed her life physically, mentally and
spiritually and she never looked back.
Now certified at the 500-hour level and also registered with the Yoga
Alliance, Nicole is now trained to teach yoga classes in Hatha, Gentle Hatha,
Vinyasa, Pre-Natal and Kids. She is inspired by working with her mentor,
Tracey Ulshafer, and is excited to continue her yogic journey.
A proud mother of two children, Nicole also loves animals, music, the
beach, food, laughing and travel. (But not necessarily in that order.)
