While the 200 Hour Program gives one the fundamental components to yoga, it is wise to further your studies by examining yourself closer with a program of personal development. Our 500-hour program offers an up-close and very personal look at the Chakra System including reading, journaling and self-evaluation of the developmental process of your Chakras. In addition to the self-development process, we will work to increase your knowledge of yoga and hone your teaching skills. This includes:
- An in-depth look at the various styles of Hatha Yoga - including Kundalini, Kripalu, Iyengar, Bikram, Asthanga/Vinyasa and several others as well as more particulars in teaching Vinyasa Flow
- Student teaching with feedback from director of training
- How to teach to Children
- How to teach to pregnant women
- Discussions on advanced anatomy (including the most common yoga injuries and how to avoid them, how stretching really works, more details on the systems of the body, subtle energy flow, etc.)
- Ayuveda
- Sanskrit pronunciation and basic terms used in yoga classes
- Advanced philosophy: Upanishads, Vedas
- Marketing & promotion of your yoga business
Upon completion of the 500 Hour Advanced Training Program, you will receive a 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Certificate. Combined with your 200 Hour Certificate, this will enable you to apply for teacher registration with the Yoga Alliance as a 500 Hour Yoga Teacher (*also requires 100 hrs of teaching).
